Companies in the time of BPM

Managing by Processes, implies developing, organizing and managing a business structure and its functioning in terms of processes: it is a methodology which involves people, their work and performance, the technology they use and their goals. Business Process Management (BPM) is the business discipline which aims at improving a company’s efficiency through the systematic management of its business processes. BPM is used to modify the organizational paradigms to improve business competitiveness and ROI.
This methodology is currently seen to prevail in different sectors due to the operational efficiency achieved and its versatility to adjust to the new requirements imposed by both context and clients. From a technological perspective, the IT suite developed to successfully implement the concept of BPM, is the BPMS. This is a solution which provides the infrastructure a business organization needs to translate its strategic decisions into concrete action plans. Contrary to other implementations used in the past, BPM covers the corporation as a unit, optimizing the totality of its processes and enabling a supervised and continuous improvement while reducing operational risks and increasing productivity.
